Pinoy Thriller and Regal Shocker

I'm confused, was it Regal Shocker or Pinoy Thriller that played the lullaby theme song as its intro? Well whichever show it was, whenever I'd hear that theme song, I would ask someone to change the channel. You might say that I'm such a senyorita because I'd have to ask someone to change the channel but you see that time, remote-controlled TVs are non-existent yet so you'd have to go to the TV to change the channel. Eh kung ginawa ko yun eh di nakita ko up close and personal yung multo sa TV. Hahaha!

Funny story about related to this:

I was about 7 years old and was taking a bath. The bathroom door was open and the TV in the living room was tuned in on channel 13. I was shampooing my hair when I heard the volume of the TV was turned up and guess what I heard: the lullaby theme song. At the first three notes, I literally ran out of the bathroom (hair full of shampoo bubbles) and was screaming. It was my crazy brother that did it because he knew I was scared of that show. Grrr!!!

Care to share your Regal Shocker and Pinoy Thriller moments? :)

Parang ganito ata yun:

(Lullaby)
Ano ang nasa dako paroon..
Bunga ng malilikot na pag-iisip
Likha ng balintataw o halaw
...
Di kayang ipaliwanag ngunit alam mo ang magaganap.
...
(May parang sisigaw)

I am very sure it goes this way...

Ano ang nasa dako paroon
Bunga ng malilikot na pag-iisip
Likha ng balintataw o halaw
Sa daigdig ng kababalaghan
Di kayang ipaliwanag ngunit alam mong magaganap.

I was 10 when they first aired this show. I remembered watching it at 8 pm in the summertime. I cannot seem to remember if it was nightly, but I knew it was quite frequent.

Here's my drama about this show. Every summer, my all my siblings are gone for at least a month. Being the youngest, I was mostly left behind. Our house usually buzzing with noise quiets down. The kids' bedrooms were all upstairs. All but mine not occupied. An addition to the drama is that our house has life size shiny rebulto at the foot of the stairs. No one will be able to ignore this imposing image as you come down the steps in the middle of the night as you make your way to the bathroom. Our bathroom is situated at the far end of the first floor by the kitchen. Anyway, I would go to bed totally freaked out after watching this show. I would toss and turn in my bed afraid that if I sleep, creepy creatures might come and do whatever they wished. There's this episode about a lady in the antique mirror that is forever etched in my memory. Out of all the monsters (many looked really lame), she was by far the scariest. That character’s face made me insomniac for weeks! I distinctly remember hearing all sorts of frightful sounds like chains being dragged etc. (but then again, they were born from fatigue and sleeplessness). Also, I remembered dreading nightfall due to this. Creeped out as I was, I still watched the show religiously. Of course, when my siblings came home a few weeks after, I went back to my old sleeping pattern. That summer still ranks one of my most memorable despite not going anywhere special.

from Bundokero:

both shows gave me the creeps but I still watched it. I'm hoping to find that creepy intro of Pinoy Thriller, like a female child reciting a poem in the dead of the night with echoing effects, "ano ang nasa dako pa roon..." and that sort of chorus of restless souls chanting "aaaa, aaaa, aaaa" in a baritone voice mixture. Really scary sounding during its time.

Other cool scary sounds that would be nice for your cellphones are:
the singing child "may uwi si nanay, si nanay, sa bahay..." from Feng Shui movie, and that creepy soundtrack of murder in Psycho.
